PERSONAL DIARY: “Last Minute Changes”

image

Everyone knows how life can be.  Life is so effing stressful it can make you want to rip your hair out.  Besides the normal small town immature drama, I have had a competition drop in my lap at the last minute.

The competition will be at the Street Machine Nationals in DuQuoin, Illinois this Sunday at 2 pm.  $250 for first with crown, sash, & trophy.  $150 for second with a trophy.  $100 for 3rd & a trophy.  National magazine coverage at this event, & I have viewed the website linked above in blue, & the event looks badass!  If anything it will be fun!

I blurred last year’s winners faces seeing as I don’t have their permission to post this.  Everyone knows I’ve been on a cycle of gaining.  I feel in no way prepared!  I have decided to cut carbs till Sunday night, & that makes me grumpy!  I’m sure my husband & daughter would love to elaborate on this issue.  So we won’t ask….
I’ve suddenly been thrusted into a bikini competition I was in no way prepared for.  We know how bad I am with OCD and my perfectionism, & it can be both a flaw as well as a strength.  Now I’m stressing.  I’m working on posing, and I realize it isn’t a NPC event.  I figure it’s practice for me.

I find myself faced with anxiety with a moral decision I’ve made about this contest.  I will NOT shake my rump or sexually promote anything.  I will be posing and keeping myself classy.  In Texas I did participate with friends of mine at several local nonregulated bikini contests that also paid cash.  They did a dance section.  I’m not hating on anyone who does this kind of contest, but I do have a 9 year old daughter looking up to me as an athlete not a sexual object.  I will not show her sexual moves are ok just to win.  A true athlete, who has fans of a young age, needs to have a certain line they will not cross.  I’m treating this as I would a NPC regulated bikini class competition event.  Pictured below in a Texas contest, wear you shook your ass…..

It is a scored event, so this eases the anxiety.  I still though, in the back of my mind think there’s going to be that one girl who tries to be sexy.  Then the judges buy that crap, & she will win.  Bummer right?!  In the end, if I lose at least I know I did it with class, poise, beauty, & a bangin body!

Look at the above pic, I had to Google pretzel suits….. lame I know! LOL

I will be leaning out, hydrating & then dehydrating, fasting, cardio, & small weight training 3 times a day all week till saturday.  Saturday I get my airbrush tan at Sunsplash Tanning located in Kennett, Missouri.

Until then I’ll keep you posted!  Thank you for your continued support!

PRODUCT REVIEW: EFX Sport Joint Support Topical Cream

image

image

I had never heard of EFX SPORTS before in my entire life.  I first came across them on a Facebook post. It was one of those contests that you always see entering by liking the page, commenting, and sharing in hopes to actually win something.  I have won stuff on Facebook, like from Tropical Glamour Boutique in Kennett, Missouri.   So when I got my package in the mail I was rather surprised! Let me show you what they actually sent me!

Yea! I know right! That’s a ton of shit! That tiny bottle in the center of the picture, that’s going to be the topic of this whole blog post!

image

This is a picture from their website. As you can clearly see they offer a package joint rehab support kit. It comes with joint support tabs along with the topical analgesic. I take Osteo Bi-Flex constantly, so I’m hoping at some point to be able to try their joint support and see if it works better than Osteo Bi-Flex. What I did get in my freebie pack from their online contest, was the topical analgesic that is also offered in their pack on their website.  Plus, as you clearly see in the picture it’s on sale and cheaper than buying Osteo Bi-Flex.

I took a few pictures of their website to show what they say about this joint support kit. The pictures are below.

Now for my review.  I’m going to rave on EFX Sports prices on this one. I have religiously used Voltaren gel which is prescription for over 4 years.  It’s a topical NSAID. You cannot over use that product just like you couldn’t overuse ibuprofen or Tylenol.  Since receiving this product for free through the mail, my husband and I both have use this product religiously. We have used it so much that I’m almost out and I’m not happy about it. Hey, EFX I’m about out if you want to send me some more hook me up!

My husband and I have both agreed that this product is better than Voltaren gel. I did not do the test just on myself but both my husband and myself did this experiment. He too has joint problems so I thought what a better way to see if the product really works is to let a second person have an opinion on the product. His opinion is exactly like mine.

I will be buying more of this product along with their pills in their kit. If the lotion works that well, then I want to see what the rest of the kit does also.

The only thing different I can find in this product that makes it different than any other topical cream I’ve used is this….. somehow in this cream they have put a patented pH controled matrix containing kre-alkaline which is buffered creatine monohydrate bonded to Ester fat fatty acids!

Below are the pictures of my product. Give it a try!

DERAILMENT TO GOALS: Car Crash “O Deer”

image

The drive through the Ozarks of Arkansas was so beautiful.  I never cease to be amazed at God’s beauty around me when I get the opportunity to travel to the Ozarks of either Missouri or Arkansas.

We sang songs, played eye spy, the car tag spotting game,  & of course took more strolls down memory lane. My friend drove us to Harrison, Arkansas.  My hubby, daughter, myself & his kid were mere passengers of our amazing adventure.  We all spoke about the absolute beautiful scenery.  My best friend told us about all the cool spots over that way.  Of course my hubby & I were paying close attention. We love camping as a family.  Camping is the 1 time my family of three gets to spent great quality time together.

We get to Harrison, Arkansas and dropped off his son.  By this time it was dark outside & visability was very poor.    We are from the plains of Missouri & referred to as flatlanders for a reason.  Not thinking anything about wildlife we head towards home.  I remember crossing the North Fork Lake bridge looking at the moon on the water.  Thinking of my husband & myself on the deck of the ship looking out over the Atlantic Ocean watching the full moon glistening off the water like diamonds.  Memories are put in your mind for a reason, yet many times we don’t cherish our memories enough.

We get to Mountain Home, Arkansas & my good friend hit a deer.  It was bound to happen, we killed Bambi!  The buck was pretty & had  six points on it.   The Fish & Wildlife Commission came out with the Sheriff’s Office & dispatched the deer.  The deer didn’t damage the car to bad.  It only knocked out 1 headlight.

After the wreck of hitting the deer the sheriff’s office did a identification check on all of us.  After finding out my friend’s driver’s license was suspended they asked my husband to drive.  If I had known his drivers license wasn’t valid I would have never went, thus my family wouldn’t have went.

If I had just known….. a common theme from here on out.  Coulda woulda shoulda, but I didn’t.

DERAILMENT TO GOALS: Car Crash “Flashbacks Down Memory Lane”

image

I opened my eyes around noon that Sunday morning.  While most people are busy getting ready for church, I was talking on the phone to my best friend disgussing when to leave in order to have my daughter back in time for bed.  I remember going out onto my front porch, looking at the sky, thinking of how beautiful it was.  The sky was crystal clear & blue, like our senior year when 9/11 happened! When most things are to perfect, they usually are.

We leave at noon, which was entirely to late, but his son wanted my daughter to go too.  Feeling bad that he had to leave, I pushed back my motherly feelings & said ok.  Sometimes those instincts need to have more attention paid to them, I now think they are little moments in life our spirit guides try to give us a warning.

The drive was beautiful.  As we drive through the town my best friend and myself had grown up in so many years ago, we spoke of all the fun we had.  We told my loving husband all our shinanigans as we passed each place, it was super nice reliving memories from 16 years past.   We head out across Crowley’s Ridge, & as we top the last hill you can see for miles.  More memories flooding our brains of happy memories.  It was as if we were watching our life flash before our eyes together.

We head towards our destination, little did we know what devestation lay ahead for my family.

-I’M SORRY FOR THE SLOW POSTS.  EVERYTIME I WRITE IT’S HARD BECAUSE MY FIRST SERIES (THIS STORY) IS FRESH & CHOKES ME UP.  I NEED A BREAK OCCASSIONALLY FROM WRITING IT TO BREATHE-

DERAILMENT TO GOALS: Car Crash “The Great Migration”

The picture on the right is of my best friend whom I grew up with since a child.  Both from Arkansas schools.  Trust him with my life.  The picture on the left is of his son whom I adore!

The morning of Sunday the October 25, 2015, he decided to ask my family along.  We had given him a place to stay, seeing his wife & him were getting a divorce.  His son had begged us to go because he and my daughter had made great best friends.  So we decided to go, not realizing what was goimg to happen.

We went because we all loved him.  He lived with us for months.  He never bothered us, and became my best friend again!  Why wouldn’t I want to see the ozark mountains?  They are beautiful!  So we went.  I think more for me than anything.

We headed out of Northeast Arkansas and onward we went to Northwestern Arkansas; quite the drive!  So happy we were!  Laughing! Kids giggling! My best friend & his son having their last moments together before we dropped him off at his mother’s home in Northwest Arkansas.

The whole reason for the trip was to take his son back to his soon to be ex…..
